CONTRASTS

Hole is a wound, gaping and wide;

Allowing the devil to sneak inside.

Whole is the Spirit, setting you free,

To be what the Lord God wants you to be.

Hurt is a weapon that satan will use,

To wound you, destroy you and always abuse.

Love is the healing that Jesus will bring,

Turn sorrow of winter, into gladness of spring.

Fear has a horror all of its own;

Fear of man, fear of things, fear of being alone.

Christ is the victor, over all things;

When we rest in Him, we can overcome fear, and rise up on wings.

Empty the spirit without God inside,

And yet from His Spirit, there’s nowhere to hide.

He probes, and He searches and gently insists;

He’s relentless to draw us, He persists and persists.

Blessed is the man who succumbs to His call,

Who surrenders to Jesus and gives Him his all.

For all we can give’s but a drop in the sea,

Of the ocean of love, God gives you and me.

For His love is endless and bottomless too,

He’ll never withdraw it, from me, or from you.

For His love’s a weapon, more powerful still;

Than fear, or than hurt, or beelzebub’s will.
