God's Eyes

GOD’S EYES

The eyes of God roam to and fro,

Seeking who loves the Word.

And who is still enthralled by Him

As the day that first they heard.

For first love is a beauteous thing,

There’s nothing to compare;

And the first love we find, when we find the Lord;

Is a precious jewel, rare.

We know that His eyes are on us,

Often fearing they condemn;

And sometimes forget to notice,

The love that shines from them.

His eyes are the eyes of a Father

Who seeks His long lost child.

His eyes are not filled with anger;

He is not easily riled.

"His eye is on the sparrow",

A verse we’re often taught;

When we think of the size of His kingdom,

It’s an awesome, mind-blowing thought.

When you think of His eyes upon you,

Remember the truth of His book;

The reason He’s always watching,

Is:- He loves you too much; not to look.
