Answered Prayer

Love, joy, relief,
A hundred emotions,
Tumble like living water,
Across my heart.

Thankful to my God,
For answered prayer,
Tears cascade
As my cup overflows.

God is good,
Merciful and kind.
So easy to acknowledge,
When the answer is ‘yes’.

And yet,
I must remember,
Had His answer been ‘no’,
God is still good.

But our God.
Is of life,
Is Life,
In all its fullness.

He is joy,
And His Joy,
Is my
Strength.

Thankful to those,
Who prayed;
In union
With me.

Thankful to my God,
Who answers
Prayer,
In love.

Let my joy and thanks,
Return to Him
Who is Life,
And strength and hope.

Let my soul magnify my Lord,
Let my spirit soar into the heavens,
And bow in adoration before
The One who chose to love me.

Soar on wings, my heart,
Deliver my thankfulness
Unto Him
As a sweetly scented offering.

Crown Him with joy,
With praise and thankfulness,
Crown Him with the love
Which He first gave to you.

Tell of His goodness
To your children,
Your grandchildren,
And all who will hear.

Let His love
Flow through your heart,
To the world,
Beyond.

God is good,
God is kind,
And His mercy
Endures forever.

Let His praises ride the wind,
Fill the earth with His Story;
Let His people unite forever,
Bonded and rooted in His Love.
