Public Hospitals and God

 

My appointment is postponed,
My lift abandoned,
The bus runs late –
Yet my Lord loves me.

 

The operation is delayed,
They have no bed to give me,
They threaten cancellation –
Still my Lord loves me.

 

They have their rules,
And their reasons,
I must conform –
Though in confusion.

 

Rejection shouts,
Accusation yells,
Despair snickers –
My Lord stands.

 

Hold onto peace,
Summon trust,
Draw up hope –
Stand firm.

 

You have worth,
You are Mine,
Reach for help –
Trust Me.

 

Ways and means,
Boundaries stretched,
Hope renewed –
God provides.

 

Small faith,
Mountain rules,
Pushed aside –
By God
