Do You Know Who You Are?

Do you know who you are,
As your life spins around?

Do you know that in Christ,
Your true value is found?

 

You are loved and protected,
When you’re in His will,
And even when not,
The Lord loves you still.

 

He says you are righteous,
And holy and pure,
When you are in Christ,
You are all this and more.

 

You’re a child of the King,
You have right royal birth,
Your strength is His joy,
So be filled with His mirth.

 

Stand tall in the knowledge,
That in Him you have worth,
He had planned for your future,
Before ever your birth.

 

Be proud of your Father,
Be content in yourself,
For if you are in Christ,
Then in Him is your wealth.

 

Do you know that He loves you,
So much that He died,
When He wept in the Garden,
’Twas for us that He cried.

 

He cried in the knowledge,
He’d do all He could do,

But still the accepting,
Would be left up to you.

 

For He gave us free will.
And He left us to choose,
And He hoped that the faith,
He would give us, we’d use.

 

That we’d open our hearts,
And invite Him right in,
Allow Him to bless us,
And cleanse us from sin.

 

To tell us and teach us,
Who we really are ,
In the eyes of our Lord,
We are each one a ‘star’.

 

He sees us through Jesus,
His own sacrifice,
Through His blood we are righteous,
Not just ‘naughty or nice’.

 

Through His Blood we are holy,
Despite how we feel,
When we ‘see’ how He sees,
At His feet we will kneel.

 

We’ll kneel with the awe,
Of one who is blessed,
That we’re loved and we’re valued,
And in Him we can rest.

 

We will know who we are,
We’ll be safe and secure,
We will know of His love,
And approval we’re sure.

 

We will dare to stand tall,
And to call on His Name,
For to all; and forever,
He is always the same.

 

So take heart when you’re weary,
When you’re lost and alone,
For your Father God loves you,
And will welcome you home.
