Love One Another
Love one another, as I have loved you,
For this is My strongest command that you do,
Love God as no other, place Him as your head,
Then love all His people, as I, Jesus, have led.
Reach out to your brother, your sister with care,
Reach out as if Jesus, your Lord, was stood there,
See each of My children as if they were Me,
When you see this truth clearly, it shall set you free.
Free from the need to compete with another,
To think that you have to compare with your brother,
To think that your sister you ought to condemn,
Free to know, youre no worse than, nor better, than them.
For you are My children, I love you the same,
The ones who seem perfect, the blind and the lame,
I look on the heart and the spirit of man,
And I see deep inside you, as only I can.
But I ask that My children, who call Me their King,
Would draw on My Spirit, to do the same thing,
Don't judge what you think that you see with your eyes,
For you'd be surprised what some actions disguise.
There is fear and rejection, there's hurt and there's pain,
That is hidden behind that loud boasting again,
Or perhaps it is hidden by shyness or pride,
Please, call on My Spirit, to look deeper inside.
To reach out a hand, or a heart full of care,
To tell them that Jesus, in you, is right there,
Put flesh on My Spirit, give arms to My love,
Don't just leave them thinking, "I'm off somewhere above".
For I am alive, I arose from the dead,
But I dwell in your heart, not just in your head,
And if you would draw others, to My Truth and My Light,
You must love one another, with a love 'out of sight'.
By this shall the world know that these are My 'men',
By their love for each other, again and again,
The more in My family, this love is let grow,
The more to the world shall it spread, overflow.
Till love conquers all, and from sin sets all free,
It frees them to bow and confess unto Me,
To claim and accept and believe I am Lord,
To claim for themselves, all the truth of My Word.
