FREEDOM

Freedom to be what You want me to be,

Freedom to see all You want me to see,

Only when I am a slave unto Thee

Can my soul and my spirit, truly be free.

Freedom to do what I want to do,

Freedom to walk far away from You;

Satan would have me believe I am free

The more he draws me away from Thee.

Freedom is knowing that You paid the fee

That allows me to live for eternity,

Freedom is having the right to lay claim

To Your love and Your power through Your Blessed Name.

Freedom is knowing that though I might fail,

You’ve taken the keys to lucifer’s jail;

His chains cannot bind me, nor yet hold me down;

Your Blood sets me free to take from You my crown.

Freedom from hurt and freedom from hate;

Freedom in love to others relate,

This is the freedom to each one You give,

The freedom to choose not to die but to live.

Our freedom was bought at a terrible cost,

That day on the Cross when Your life You lost;

Yet it was not taken, but given for free,

To purchase true freedom for all who know Thee.

And this is the task that You give to each one,

To bring others to knowledge of Jesus the Son

Of the God who gives freedom to all of mankind,

And longs that they freely their way to Him find.
