Dreams

Visions of teddy bears
Float through his head,
As the little babe sleeps,
In his safe wooden bed.

Dreams of his future,
Fill his mother’s heart,
As she prays the Lord help her,
Give him a good start.

Daddy is dreaming,
He’ll keep them secure,
If he follows the Lord,
Then the way will be sure.

God gives us a dream,
And a vision to chase;
And He’ll bring them to pass,
If we stick to His race.

If we honour His Word,
And we study His Book,
His Spirit will guide us,
To where we should look.

He will give us a dream,
That is birthed in His heart,
But He gives us the choice,
That towards it, we’ll start.

So when you’ve a dream,
That you think is from God,
Just ask that He’ll guide you,
With His staff and His rod.

And He will soon show you,
If it’s truly His dream,
Or just foolish thoughts,
That are not what they seem.

For He led His children,
Though they stumbled and fell,
He still led them onwards,
And He’ll lead you as well.

So trust in your Father,
Let His dream lead you through,
And His blessings will follow
In all that you do.
