Rise As Eagles

See the eagle up on high,
Sail on updraughts, through the sky,
So shall we rise in our Lord,
Lifted upwards on His Word.

As we listen for His voice,
So we oft’ must make our choice,
Drift along the wider way,
Or upon His pathway stay.

Though His path is straight and true,
There is much that we can do;
As we wait upon Him more,
So we’ll find our spirits soar.

He will lift our spirits high,
As our hearts to Him draw nigh,
We will find more good to do,
As daily He’ll our strength renew.

Eagles soar above the crowd,
Not deterred by mist or cloud,
To a single purpose keep,
So our spirits watch, not sleep.

Watch and wait upon the Lord,
Live our lives just by His Word;
To His purposes be true,
Do the work He’d have us do.
