God’s love is stronger than the fear – It holds. It is not me that holds on tight But Him. His love is rooted deep, so deep inside, Though all around the world may fall, It cannot be denied, The anchor holds. He’s woven threads so tight and so secure They cannot break; They form a chain that holds the grappling hook Sunk in the Rock.. A Rock that will withstand the fiercest storm, That gives a shelter to the battered craft; And tethered to this Rock, I cannot fail. His love, His strength, this awesome God bestows, Upon the children whom He loves, And as it seeps into our very bones, It is a surety which we possess. And thus possessed, our spirits are secured, None other can assail, For though the world, and satan, may attack, His love withstands the threat. Though we may shake and quiver, And strain our mooring ropes, His rope holds strongly to His little craft; It’s anchored to the Rock. © 30-31/3/00
