Fear is a chain that binds us,
Loneliness one of the links.
Barriers raised to protect us,
Rarely leave any chinks.
Christ stands at the doorway knocking,
Waiting to set us free.
A door we're so often locking,
Refusing His love to see.
Love He would give to us gladly,
Often we cannot receive,
Though we desire it so badly;
Though our pain it would surely relieve.
Locked in our own little prison,
Shut in our own little cell.
Shunning the One who is risen,
Creating our own little hell.
Gently His Spirit is speaking,
Stirring our hearts to believe.
Urging our souls to come seeking,
The One whom we long to receive.
Only one faltering footstep,
Only one lift of our eyes.
Straightway our Lord is beside us,
Out of the quagmire we rise.
Praise to the Lord for His Spirit,
Praise to the Lord for His Love.
Only through Him are we made fit,
To join Him in Heaven above.

GOD OUR FATHER
Abba Father; King and Lord,
What joy to me does Your love afford.
A love that cleanses, heals and frees,
A love that brings us to our knees.
We kneel in awe to worship Thee
And close our eyes, Your face to see.
Our hands we raise to praise Thy name,
And inwardly our hearts the same,
To Thee all praise and gloryâs due,
You only can our lives renew.
Our broken dreams You take and mend
Until our wishes with Yours blend.
Though constantly we fail and fall,
You see the wide view over all.
When for a time we drift away,
You call us to You day by day.
You walk beside us âtil the end,
A never changing, constant Friend.
