God All Around
Rolling hills and golden meadows, Gently touched by sunshine’s rays, Spirits open up to Jesus, Hearts are softened by such days. Stars that shine with radiant brightness Moonbeams softly touch the land, This is not a freak of nature, This, by God, was always planned. Creatures tall and creatures tiny, Roaring lion, busy ant; God is seen in His creation, Mighty mountain, fragile plant. We alone He gave His spirit, Chose that we His friends should be, Awesome God of rolling thunder, Suffered birth, like you or me. We His might could not imagine, So He came, our lives to share, Took His Cross upon His shoulder, Suffered death, our sins to bear. We must raise our voice to praise Him, Lift His Name, for all to see; Tell the world, that only through Him, Can our spirits be set free. All around them, nature beckons, "Look at what the Lord can do", We need speak out to remind them, "He has done this all for you." In a world that’s lost and hurting, We must let our joy shine bright; Like a beacon, we must guide them, To our great, eternal, Light. © 12/11/04
