Till Death Do Us Part

You vowed to join together,
So many years ago;
You said you’d stand beside her
And both in Christ would grow.

You did not see the troubles,
And strife that life would bring,
But spent your life, your love, your strength,
In service to our King.

And though the road is weary,
And hope seems far away,
Still never you will falter,
Beside your love you’ll stay.

Together you will battle,
And stand against your foe,
For in the times both good and bad,
You’ve gone where God said go.

Your Lord stands strong beside you,
And holds your hands in His,
He says, "I’ll never leave you,
You know I promised this.

For you both swore to serve Me,
And faithful you have been,
And I will not let go of you,
Until My face you’ve seen.

And when you stand in Glory,
Before My Father’s throne,
You’ll see, and feel, the love in Me,
That love you’ve always known.

And I will gaze upon My kids,
Who’ve served Me to the end,
And as I greet each one of you,
Say, Welcome, faithful friend.
