SAFETY

In my Father’s arms, I’m held secure;

And in His love, I may be sure;

Though I may rant, and rave and fight;

Within His arms, He’ll hold me tight.

He doesn’t; listen and condemn

The stupid things I say to Him,

But keeps repeating oe’r and oe’r,

"Each day I love you more and more."

Though His love’s perfect and complete,

It still can grow to meet my need;

He plants His seed of love in me,

Then shows me how its growth to see.

His love is gentle, patient, kind;

And covers all the faults I find

Within my heart; my mind, my soul;

His love will cleanse and make me whole.

And though I fight to hold my ground,

His arms will still wrap me, around;

He will not easy let me go;

The longings of my heart – He knows.

The kicking, fighting, hurting child,

Will never make her Father riled;

The more I fight – and cry in pain:

The more He holds me close again.

And as I plead against my case,

I see a glimpse of Love’s sweet face;

The reasons why He should not care,

Are drowned with words of love – He shares.

"Read Romans Eight, verse One again,

And then Ephesians One : Thirteen,

These verses, child, are made for you,

My love must soak you through and through.

If in My river you can’t swim,

I’ll carry you and walk you in;

I’ll hold you in the water pure,

Till of My love; you’re certain , sure.

There is no rush nor haste in Me,

I have through all eternity.

I’ve sealed your spirit, it is Mine;

To show My love, -- I have all time.

Do not condemn yourself and weep,

Instead into My bosom creep,

And let Me hold you gently there,

A cry of "Help", is still a prayer.

A prayer that opens gates of love

That floods and flows from heaven above,

To wash away all hurt and pain,

And help Love’s seed grow strong again.

So come My weary child, and rest,

And trust the Lord Who knows you best;

Shun fear and doubt and misery,

And put your faith and trust in Me."
