LOVE CHANGES

Love can change a leper’s skin, to skin so smooth and free;

Love can change the darkest heart that beats in you or me.

Love can change the blindest eyes, to those that clearly see;

Love can change a heart of fear, to one which will not flee.

Love can change a beggar into a prince of God,

Following the footsteps of where his Lord has trod.

Love can change the lame man, bound upon his bed,

To one who’ll walk so straight and tall, and gladly lift his head.

Love can change the mourners, into a gladsome crowd,

Singing of God’s goodness, praising Him out loud.

Love can change a cruel Cross, a place of utter shame,

Into a place of victory, through the power of His name.

Love can change a cheerless house, and make of it a home,

Love can change the wanderer, cause him no more to roam.

Love can change an empty day, and make a spirit bright,

Love can bring a ray of light, into an endless night.

Love can do a million things if it is shared abroad,

And given with the freedom it was given by our Lord;

Love can draw a sin stained soul and truly set it free,

If Love is shown to the world; -- and that needs you and me.
