In the Silence

Listen in the silence,
Hear God’s gentle Word,
You receive a blessing,
Knowing Whom you’ve heard.

Hear His Words of Wisdom,
Know His sweet command,
If we all would listen,
Blessed would be our land.

Reach your hand to others,
Touch them in their pain,
As you bless His children,
You are blessed again.

Joined as in one body,
We with Christ should blend,
Then will come His Kingdom,
World without an end.

Minds renewed in Jesus,
Hearts aflame once more,
Faith which we can live by,
Trust in which we’re sure.

We are one with Jesus,
As He is One with God,
We can tread this pathway,
That our Lord’s already trod.

He has done the praying,
"Make them one with Me,
Father, as I rest in You,
Let them rest in Me."

Jesus’ prayer is answered,
For He knows God’s will,
But we all must play our part,
He gives us free choice, still.

We must chose to listen,
Choose to hear His voice,
Recognise our Shepherd,
And dare to make our choice.

Listen in the silence,
Know your Saviour’s call,
Live in His assurance,
He is Lord of all.
