Revived, refreshed, renewed, Such words bring life and hope, Without my Lord's reviving, There's no way I could cope. He lifts up arms that hang down, He'll raise a weary head, His love and light, can resurrect, A spirit that is dead. But we must come into His light, Though we feel we're just a sham. For there is no condemning found, In the Presence of I AM. We crawl into His house some days, Thinking, "We should not be here", The devil plants these thoughts in us, But God's love casts out fear. A fellow saint might give a hug, Or offer words of cheer, We make it harder for ourselves, If we will not draw near. The Bible gives a warning, That we'd do well to heed, "Forsake not gath'ring with the saints, It's something that you need." For each can be a lifter, Or need their arms held high, So if you feel, you just can't go, Please, give it one more try. And dare to say, "I need a hug, I need some help to pray", There'll always be someone to care, If you will only say. And you might be surprised to find, That others struggle too, They're not all perfect 'holy Joes', They're human; just like you! And when God has revived you, And you can once more stand, Then comes your turn to look around, And offer out your hand. Reach out to one who's struggling, Let them know they're not alone, You'll be more understanding, Through the love that you've been shown. We share along this journey, That Christ has bid us take, And growing more and more like Him, We love, for Jesus' sake. © 21/8/06
