GOD’S GRACE
G od’s love given freely Without any cost, Save that which He paid When He died for the lost. R edemption He offers To all who will come, And by ‘all’, He means all; It’s not just for some. A lways He’s ready To love and forgive, His patience will last Just as long as we live. C alvary was His picture To show us His grace, ‘Twas His finest gesture To save all our race. E ven His Son’s life He would not withhold, So how could we wonder If His love could grow cold? Grace -- an unmerited Gift from above, A limitless, measureless, Outpouring of love. A love beyond reason That cannot be taught, God’s grace supersedes All the shoulds and the ought. Grace is a gift Which He wants us to show, That those who receive it Will our Lord want to know. Grace is the love And the light or our Lord, It is shown from the start To the end of His Word. Grace is much more Than we can contain, For each time we need it God gives it again. God’s grace should cause us To give Him all praise, Lift our hearts to the heavens As His anthems we raise. So when we are weary No smile lights our face, When our hearts feel lead heavy Then we need our Lord’s grace. Reach out and accept All the love He will give, And with joyful acceptance In His grace daily live. © 18/7/99
