Golden Wedding

Fifty years you’ve been together,
Golden years as man and wife,
Lived through times of great elation,
Overcome the times of strife.

Walked with God as one together,
Served Him well, with love and grace;
As you’ve gazed at one another,
So you’ve looked into God’s face.

When He blessed you at your union,
God, with you, vowed He would blend,
He has led you through your marriage,
He’ll be with you ‘til the end.

How He smiles to see this party,
In your hearts, He’ll celebrate,
Till in turn you both will bless Him,
"God is Love, and God is great."

What a witness you have borne Him,
Showing how His strength will hold,
Bind a pair, in love, together,
Keep them safe within His fold.

May His love, in health sustain you,
May you know Him, more and more,
After death, once more together,
Join with Him upon that shore.

God will thank you, for your witness,
Thank you that you that you showed the way;
Taught the ones that came behind you,
How to their vows, to faithful stay.

Celebrate your Golden Wedding,
Celebrate the day you met,
Thank God for His many blessings,
Thank Him, they’re not over yet.

Thank Him for His faithful loving,
Praise Him for His constant care,
Cherish every day together,
As your life, with Him, you share.

He will wrap His arms about you,
And enfold you in His love,
He is ever here beside you,
Till you join, with Him, above.
