Have you heard of a love, never – ending?

Have you heard of a love, that is true?

Have you heard of a love, that’s unbending?

Well, the Lord has this love, just for you.

He has love that you really, can trust in,

He has love that you really should know,

He has love that can cleanse you from your sin,

And can reach you, wherever you go.

You can run from His love, and deny it,

You can run from His love, hide away,

You can run from His love, and decry it,

But His love for you, surely will stay.

Have you need of a love that is gentle?

Have you need of a love that is pure?

Have you need of a love like a mantle?

Well of God’s love, you can always be sure.

He’s a mantle of love to enfold you,

To wrap you and keep you from harms,

He’ll open His heart to embrace you,

And enclose you in His loving arms.

So draw close to this love, though with trembling,

Draw close to this love, though with fear,

For God takes the child that is trembling,

And into His heart draws it near.

Have you need of this love? – It is waiting,

Have you need of this love? – It is there,

If you’d only stop all hesitating,

And allow God your sorrow to share.

For He is the God of all healing,

The One who has borne all our grief,

And when in His Presence we’re kneeling,

He pours out His blessed relief.

His love is the cure for our sorrow,

His love is the cure for our pain,

His love will be there every morrow,

For each day, He renews it again.

It’s a love beyond our comprehending,

A love of conditions set free,

A love with no start and no ending,

It was poured out for you and for me.

It was there when the world was beginning,

It is here as it draws to its end,

It is heard in the birds with their singing,

It is found in the heart of a friend.

It’s a love that compares with no other,

A love we can not understand,

For this love, Christ has called us His brother,

And God; carved our name, on His hand.
