TRUE LOVE

The crowd had gathered at the hill,

The Lord above them stood.

And gazed around with sorrowing eyes,

To see whose love was good.

And one by one He called their name,

But none could pass the test.

Not one of them could truly say

They really loved the rest.

And you and I would surely fail

If we should face this call.

Our love could never be enough,

But Jesus loved for all.

And when before Him we must stand;

And dare to make our plea,

The only claim that each can make,

Is, "Jesus died for me."

            QUESTIONS

Am I real ?

Do I exist ?

Or am I simply the product

Of some fertile imagination?

Will I live?

Will I die?

Do I care?

Does anyone care? A thousand questions fill my mind,

These questions numb my brain,

But even numbness can be kind,

At least it stops the pain. I know the things I ought to know,

The things I ought to feel,

Sometimes I think I just let go,

And none of them seem real.

Does God hold on? And does He care?

These questions might seem trite,

If I accept that He’s right there,

I know He’ll help me fight.
